"Sweet Birdies” was inspired by the little birds I watch each day—huddling in the rain, hopping from tree to tree, chirping at sunrise. With five feeders on my back deck, I get to see their sweetness up close. During a time when I felt dimmed inside, those tiny birds kept a light on for me. Their steady presence nudged me back to myself, and when I picked up my acrylics, the painting flowed naturally—heart to brush, brush to canvas.
